Steel furnace off gas ducting supply and replacement

RECON supplied & installed nearly a dozen 7.5’D expansion joints, replaced or refurbished duct supports in two DES Ducts, field fabricated & installed 14’D double manifold, replaced a vertical water-cooled duct in support of Gerdau’s Melt Shop shut down, and supplied & managed large cranes. The complete work scope was done at-height and during continuous rain downpours.

Work was fast tracked during a 10-day plant outage. Work by RECON included site assembly and completion of fabrication of ductwork sections not completed by GERDAU’s shop fabricator in time for the outage.
