As a new chemical engineering graduate, I worked first as a consulting engineer for public and private water and wastewater utilities. Moving from a general project engineer, I focused on environmental and safety compliance for multiple construction projects throughout the midwest.
I took my skills to the chemical manufacturing industry and managed health, safety and environmental compliance at a chemical manufacturer for a number of years. I joined the RECON safety department in 2004 as a field safety supervisor and was provided an opportunity to expand my work experience in petroleum refineries, power generation and various mining industries. In 2009, I assumed the duties of the corporate HSE manager.
